Methods of sawing materials

Sawing of the material can be done in different ways, among which the following can be noted:

Semi-radial. With this type of sawing, the log is cut at an acute angle, which allows the material to obtain the properties necessary in the future to create floor coverings.
Transverse. This cut is made across the structural fibers of the wood species. The main field of application is decorative floor coverings, such as parquet.
Tangential. The material is cut after the median line, according to the direction of the cross section.
Radial. This type of cutting involves cutting the material strictly in the middle of the trunk, which determines the aesthetics of the object and its resistance to environmental influences.
Planed. The main criterion is the performance of grinding work (full or surface)
Cut edges. The sides of the object are cut off to give the material the shape of a rectangle.
Uncut edges. There is no processing

Technologies for the creation of lumber

The process of making lumber is in many ways similar to similar procedures for creating wood products. However, the key aspect is the quality of wood, since low-quality lumber is obtained from low-grade wood.

The initial processing of wood includes the removal of various inclusions such as knots, bark and other defects. After the initial processing, the forest goes on sale — already cleaned and ready for cutting. Depending on the desired type and size of the product, the appropriate type of saw is determined. Next, the material is sorted by size, grade, purpose. The final stage is the complete grinding of the product, edge processing, and surface drying — after all these procedures, the material is ready for implementation.

There are many ways of processing wood, however, the following can be noted among the main ones:
